International Seminar on Antisemitism and Xenophobia in Warsaw (15,16,17/11/2012)
Under the auspices of the Kantor Center, the Ze'ev Vered Desk for the Study of Tolerance and Intolerance in the Middle East, the Never Again Association, and the T. Manteuffel Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a international gathering took place in Warsaw between October 15th. and October 17th., 2012.
The general motto of the seminar was: "Exploring the limits of tolerance. Jewish communities and other minorities facing antisemitism and xenophobia".
The seminar started with a special Opening Session, with the participation of Prof. Dina Porat, the Polish Foreign Undersecretary of State, Minister Beata Stelmach and the former President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Alexander Kwasniewski, among others.
Then, eight plenary panels were organized during two days, with the participation of 37 academic experts from Israel, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Sweden, UK, Austria, Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, Mexico and the Netherlands. A representative of European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights was also among the orators.
The Kantor Center was represented by the participation of eight researchers.
