Seventy Years without Raoul Wallenberg - A Conference on International Diplomatic and Legislative Activity Against Racial Discrimination (15/1/2015)
On January 15 2015, the Kantor Center organized a conference on "Seventy Years without Raoul Wallenberg" - International Diplomatic and Legislative Activity Against Racial Discrimination, at the Cymbalista Jewish Heritage Center, at Tel-Aviv University.
The event was co-sponsored by the Cymbalista Jewish Heritage Center and by the Embassy of Sweden in Israel.
This event also marked a decade to the UN's declaration of the International Holocaust Memorial Day and 70 Years to the liberation of Auschwitz.
Prof. Dina Porat, Head of our Center, co-chaired the event with His Excellency, the Swedish Ambassador in Israel, Mr. Carl Magnus Nesser.
A member of the Wallenberg family, Ms. Cecilia Åhlberg, was present, along with a large audience.

In the evening of the memorial day, a recording of the opera "Wallenberg", performed by the Estonian National Opera, was screened at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque. The opera was written by Erkki-Sven Tüür, who was present during the exhibition.
This gathering was sponsored by the Embassy of Estonia in Israel.
